There are so many grass types that are capable of giving your lawn an admirable look. Sometimes, this could specifically depend on the conditions of the climate and close surroundings. There are two main types of lawn grasses which consist of various grass types; the Cool season and the Warm season lawn grasses.

Warm Grasses:

(1). The Carpet Grass: The carpet grass is a typical example of a warn lawn grass. They prefer soils that are poor in moist which other grasses will certainly not be comfortable to grow on. Their roots are naturally shallow so they don’t seem to withstand the drought situations.

(2). The Bahia Grass: This grass is another type of warm grass suitable for lawns. It has a good characteristic of surviving all through a summer season yet maintaining its greenish color. All they require is a medium maintenance plus mowing and this does not consume much of your energy. Unlike other lawn grasses, the Bahia grass type is not easily infected with diseases and insects and this makes it live longer. Typical examples of the Bahia grasses are the Pensacola and the well known Argentine.

(3). Centipede Grass: the centipede grass type is not extremely greenish in color. Their greenish color is somehow medium or light and their sod is basically thick. The centipede grass also has a good characteristic like the Bahia grass; very easy to maintain and requires little energy.

(4). The Bermuda Grass: It is easy to say that almost all warm lawn grasses require less maintenance and the Bermuda grass is not an exception of such. They also require less energy in mowing and also have a long life span. The Bermuda grass can be easily grown by seed planting.

Cool Grasses:

(1). The Bent Grass: This type of grass is said to be the most beautiful and good looking of virtually all lawn grasses. Most people don’t make lawns without it because they are a type of grass that grows densely and maintains their elegant dark green color. They are a perfect cool grass and make a beautiful grass lawn.

(2). Bluegrass: The Bluegrass is a typical cool grass that is widely used in grass lawns. Just like most warm grass types, this cool grass requires less effort and energy when it comes to mowing and maintenance. This type of grass has a greater advantage of exposure as they are also used in sport areas asides the home. These grasses grow densely and their greenish color glows brightly; that is why they appear very beautiful and admirable.

There are many other types of grasses which are grown on areas most suitable for them. In sporting events, grass lawns are one significant thing that keeps the stadium highly rated. However, different sporting events determine the type of grass needed on its field of event. An example is a golf course; grasses used on a golf field are bent, poa, paspallum, Bermuda, and zoysia grasses. Same is applicable to other sporting events. These grasses have their different blades and different growing manners so before making a lawn, it is necessary to know how a particular type of grass grows. This is to achieve a uniform growth and also to avoid hitches while mowing and maintaining them.

Conclusively, ‘grass types’ is a wide subject as there are many types of grasses capable of beautifying your dear home. It is all about your style and personality but always choose the right grasses for your lawn!
